When Animals Attack
This feature was a three part series and was the beginning of an entirely
new genre of programming called "Animal Shockumentaries".
To this day, these types of shows continue to be a successful format for
television. The late Robert Urich was the host and maintained a cool, even
demeanor with a brief, conversational commentary throughout the show
combined with minimal sensationalism. Many of these clips were accumulated
from home movies while others were professionally-shot (but unplanned)
footage of a variety of animal attacks on people in various situations.
Over the course of the three shows, the animals involved included everything
from ordinary household pets attacking, fighting bulls and elephants, lions
and bears completely out of control.

Who Wants to Marry My Dad?
In this spinoff of NBC's hit relationship series "Meet My Folks," the adult children of a single father chose among several suitors to decide which woman would marry their dad.
Though "Dad" featured the outrageous "secret tasks," surprising revelations about each player's past and "lie detector" tests that have helped make "Meet My Folks" such a hit with viewers, the stakes in this show were much higher as the kids chose the woman who would become their new stepmom. With an emphasis on romance, the series followed the courtship of "Dad" and the contestants over five episodes, with the kids eliminating women each week until only two women remained in the final episode. Unexpected guests and a surprise segment featuring a legion of lie detectors added to the fun before the kids decided in the finale which woman "Dad" would marry-and take on a fantasy honeymoon trip.

The Complex: Malibu began with eight couples who were split into two groups,
Upper and Lower Complex, and competed for the opportunity to restore and
redecorate one of the four units. Under tight deadlines, the couples battled
each other for control of the units while trying to add the most value to
each of the rooms that they redid. After each room was completed, a panel of
real estate professionals - an interior designer, a real estate agent and an
architect - ranked the rooms from best to worst. Meanwhile, the couples
decided which pair from their group to evict weekly. The team responsible
for the room that judges felt brought the least amount of value to the
complex each week lost a couple, until only four remained.
